Textarea's are not supported as content inside the activedit editor. When ActivEdit loads content that contains a text area unexpected results may occurr.
If you need to handle a textarea as content in the editor, then you need to escape the textarea (specifically the closing tag), and then reenable it using the AE API.
Future versions of ActivEdit may allow for textareas as input content, but As of ActivEdit 4 it does not.
